SATY 2014 Participants

Program Description

Academy for Talented Youth (SATY) & Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) conducted a Summer Camp for school children from May 5 to 15, 2014, with a field trip to an industry. Springboards Academy for Talented Youth (SATY) & Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) conducted a Summer Camp for school children from May 5 to 15, 2014. The aim of this camp was to offer awareness about various Engineering and Technology courses and provide career guidance, personality effectiveness skills, team building and leadership qualities to school children. 10 participants attended the Summer Camp. The program was inaugurated by Prof. M. Sivanandham, Secretary, Sri Venkateswara Educational and Health Trust on May 5, 2014 with his key Note about the advantages of this Camp. Prof. S. Ganesh Vaidyanathan, Principal, SVCE in his welcome address enlightened the participants about Engineering & Technology.

Mrs. Valli Arun, President, Springboards & Founder SATY, addressed the participants through video conferencing and motivated them to actively participate and best utilize the opportunity. All the participants interacted well with the Founder. The technical sessions were handled during the forenoon by SVCE experienced faculty members. During the afternoon sessions, participants were taught about soft skill development, personality effectiveness skills. An industrial visit to Parle Agro Private Limited was also organized during the camp.

Prof. E. Nakkeeran, HoD/Biotechnology, Mr. V. Sridharan, Asst. Prof., Mechanical Engineering, SVCE designed the program in an effective manner while the participants were enlightened with an overview of Engineering and Technology courses and also developed their personality skills.

The valedictory function was held on May 15, 2014. The chief guest, Dr. S. Ganesh Vaidyanathan, Principal, SVCE addressed the participants and distributed the certificates to the students and faculty members involved in SATY 2014 Summer Camp.
